2004: Acquired by Myers Industries, Inc. (NYSE: MYE), a diversified plastics and rubber
manufacturer and distributor of tire service products.
2004: Myers acquires Diakon Molding in Reidsville, NC, formerly Zarn Inc., which introduced a successful line of blow-molded carts for residential and commercial waste handling. In addition to carts, the company manufactured custom products for the automotive, consumer and lawn and garden industries. Diakon is renamed "WEK-Reidsville"
2006: WEK achieves TS 16949 certification
2007: Myers acquires WhiteRidgePlastics to become WEK-WhiteRidge
2008: WEK Industries receives Honda Productivity Improvement Award
2011: Major expansion of Reidsville plant for growing blow molding business
2011: All facilities enfolded under the WEK Industries brand for greater operational efficiency
